Event organized by the Association of Doina Carpaţilor and Students House of Culture during 16 to 18 May 2008. Along with many artists, Coconiţe Ensemble participated in the festival with many artistic programs.

11. The temptation in FAITH – Opening

MAY 26, 2008

Event organized by Iulian Tomulescu and Lavinia Răileanu, at the Athenaeum Tătăraşi on May 26, 2008.

”With this project we wanted to create a link between the audience and the spiritual atmosphere transmitted through prayer, image and movement. The power of temptation and the power of prayer are reflexes of the human soul since ancient times till today, thus creating intense feelings of doubt and faith, of hope and resistance to their ideas and images. The dance is a description of the struggle between faith and temptation, between sensuality and purity, between power and strength. With this dance we try to maintain the transposition of the receptor in the creativity through biblical theme of temptation and faith.” Lavinia Răileanu

12.INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF TRADITIONAL ART (Iaşi)

13 to 15 JUNE 2008

Event organized by “Moldova” National Museum Complex – Ethnographic Museum of Moldova in cooperation with the Municipality of Iaşi, Tourism Development Bureau, County Department for Culture, Cults and National Patrimony Iaşi, under the aegis of Cultural Programme Iaşi – 600, being the first Edition of International Festival of Traditional Art. The event was held during 13 to 15 June 2008 on the esplanade of the Palace of Culture Iaşi.
This event was attended by:
1. Popular Handymen from European countries
2. Dance ensembles, including Coconiţe Experimental Dance Ensemble who participated with various artistic programmes.

13. SIGHIŞOARA MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL, 16th EDITION

25 to 27 JULY 2008

The festival organized by the town hall of Sighişoara, in 2008, was called The MASK. At the event were invited over 600 artists, including Coconiţe Experimental Dance Ensemble.

14. “Human” – International Symposium of Visual Arts

10 to 24 AUGUST

“Human” – International Symposium of Visual Arts took place from 10 to 24 August 2008, in the village Cucuteni and it had as main theme the ROGVAIV. As exercise, the participants had to combine each color of the solar spectrum with natural elements, moods, feelings, experiences using various materials, tools and human body.
Coconiţe Ensemble was invited to perform an artistic program that represented red color.

Organizers: “Ars continua” Association, Iaşi in partnership with the County Department for Culture, Cults and National Cultural Heritage and Hall Cucuteni, Iaşi.

15. MULTICULTURAL IASHINGTON Fair 2008

SEPTEMBER 6, 2008

The event was organized on September 6, 2008. by AIESEC, the largest international youth organization in the world, present in 107 countries.

Coconiţe Experimental Dance Ensemble has been invited along with other groups and ensembles to organize a multicultural show.

16. Life Steps

October 5, 2008

Dance show organized on October 5, 2008, by the Athenaeum Tătăraşi and band Shakti, together with Coconiţe Experimental Dance Ensemble, for Iaşi Holidays.

17.On Dream Wings

October 10, 2008

The show ‘On Dream Wings’ was performed by COCONIŢE Ensemble on October 10, 2008 at the Athenaeum Tătăraşi. The show is a symbol of desire for freedom that everyone feels in the depths of their soul. The dream is a perfect space in which man can fulfill his desires and hopes that society and life restrict in an intentional way. The ration disappears when the child emerges in us, causing a sense of innocence that we can dare more, to love pure, to dream honest, to play again without thinking of adulthood responsabilities . On Dream Wings suggests a journey, not in world, but in us, a simple search of time seen through the eyes of a child: we open with him a book of stories that everyone will read it how they want, being led on the wings of innocence and imagination”.
