”… Living in a changing time and space, I felt the need to represent my feelings and ideas through a challenge experimentation that aimes combining any kind of elements, to finally get lively paintings and naturalness. So far we represented this ideas through „performance”.
Starting from the idea, I built each time another universe, of sounds, shapes, frames, time, states, etc. What I do isn’t a dance show, but a picture with dance, a performance that includes forms, states, images, compositions, symbols, stories and a whole universe of a point from whole humanity.
Each dance has a story, each story has typical images, each image represents an object, person, frame, each person, object and frame represents a sound, each sound has a color and each color triggers with the sound a state.
Actually I try to bring the show to the state’s moment, where both, the artist and the show, are caught in the world created by me, leaving the story behind and spread the symbol and shape.
Choreographic and theatrical directing of the composition is created in well defined steps. The sound is one of the first elements, I am searching it and am trying to find its origin, nature, the force and then through art and creative vision I can add in the same intensity people, colors, forms and message.
Sound that folds initial idea became an ‘auditory image’ of it, then I try to ‘distort’ and ‘individualize’ both: the sound and part musical instruments, which stimulated my creativity or attention. This is the first stage of the painting that will follow.
The great attention devited to the sounds is the base of the picture, because in this way will manage to deepen it, through color, shape, movement and sound.
When we arrived at this stage is formed a creative circuit, that will support the part, and I will add elements of art history, namely turn artwork into art scene elements, specifically elements of pop art vanguardism.
In contemporary art, the influences which will consider in my dances, in costumes, scenery and message have their inclinations towards performance, conceptualism, body art, body painting. Syncretism implemented in performing arts, bring before the audience an archive of pictures, movements and emotions that touch the viewer’s ‚ sensitive side’.

19. Incantation – exhibition
FEBRUARY 4, 2009
Event organized by Iulian Tomulescu and Art Galleries-Cupola, on February 4, 2006.
The exhibition theme was the Hindu myth of the tree of life and death, with artistic support consisting of paper, tracing and projector. The art works presented in this exhibition intentionally exceeded the “soul storming” moment proposed in the first event KALPATARU – Temptation in faith. The expressiveness of the present exhibition is based entirely on the concept: The beauty is in the viewer eyes – soul’s mirror.
Coconiţe Ensemble supported this project through image, movement and incantations spoken to each viewer.

Event organized by AVON 069, Iaşi, in Dublin Pub – Students House, on February 12, 2009, at the launch of a new fragrance ”Absynthe” by Christian Lacroix.
Coconiţe Experimental Dance Ensemble was special guest, performing an artistic program prepared especially for this perfume.
The choreography signified a wonderful, mysterious world, where fantastical characters were creating this fragrance in a magical dance.

The show ‘On Dream Wings’ was performed by COCONIŢE Ensemble on February 28, 2009 at the Athenaeum Tătăraşi. The show is a symbol of desire for freedom that everyone feels in the depths of their soul. The dream is a perfect space in which man can fulfill his desires and hopes that society and life restrict in an intentional way. The ration disappears when the child emerges in us, causing a sense of innocence that we can dare more, to love pure, to dream honest, to play again without thinking of adulthood responsabilities . On Dream Wings suggests a journey, not in world, but in us, a simple search of time seen through the eyes of a child: we open with him a book of stories that everyone will read it how they want, being led on the wings of innocence and imagination”. Today, when we desperately / with enthusiasm seek for our origin, with the hope that we will know where we are going, we forget completely the present time, the stage that we reached. Everything seems normal, but is it really natural? The show exposes what we are or what we will become if we don’t stop a moment from our continue wandering in the false needs of society. We are dedicating this show to children and all those who want to reflect on issues raised by us, while removing indifference to what we most value: love and innocence.

The power of temptation and the power of prayer are reflexes of the human soul since ancient times till today, thus creating intense feelings of doubt and faith, of hope and resistance to their ideas and images. The dance is a description of the struggle between faith and temptation, between sensuality and purity, between power and strength. Event organized by “Moldova” National Museum Complex – Ethnographic Museum of Moldova in cooperation with the Municipality of Iaşi, Tourism Development Bureau, County Department for Culture, Cults and National Patrimony Iaşi, under the aegis of Cultural Programme Iaşi – 600, being the first Edition of International Festival of Traditional Art. 13. SIGHIŞOARA MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL, 16th EDITION

The festival organized by the town hall of Sighişoara, in 2008, was called The MASK. At the event were invited over 600 artists, including Coconiţe Experimental Dance Ensemble.
14. “Human” – International Symposium of Visual Arts
10 to 24 AUGUST
“Human” – International Symposium of Visual Arts took place from 10 to 24 August 2008, in the village Cucuteni and it had as main theme the ROGVAIV. As exercise, the participants had to combine each color of the solar spectrum with natural elements, moods, feelings, experiences using various materials, tools and human body.
Coconiţe Ensemble was invited to perform an artistic program that represented red color.

1. Second edition of Competition “EuroPuzzle-Unity through Diversity “

The program ” EuroPuzzle-Unity through Diversity ” - Second Edition of FEstudIS 2006 was held in the 5th Students of Iaşi Festival, during 17-27 May 2006. The program is a model of good practice in promoting the culture of European countries and the concept of “Unity through Diversity” became a source of incitement to cooperation and understanding.
During the activities held in this program, on May 20, 2006, has been a show “EuroPuzzle – Unity through Diversity “, where both young professionals and amateurs have performed various artistic events (dance, music, drama, pantomime, etc.) and have rendered the national character of European countries.
The show ended with a competition in which participants had the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and imagination.
Coconiţe Experimental Dance Ensemble appeared in this program, where they took first place with the choreography ”Oh, my beloved flower”, a stylized folk dance with oriental influences. 16 people attended this dance, the choreography being signed by Lavinia Răileanu.

The Coconiţe experimental dance ensemble was established on May 1, 2006 at the initiative of students and pupils with the aim of participating in the Europuzzle: Unity through diversity, second edition.
Name ”COCONIŢE” was chosen because his resonance leads you to the medieval period, the idea of a group of young children, which transmit mood of the times of old, but rebirth and recovered of the young people spirit, from yesterday and today.
The band wants to address the bases of traditional ideas that can capitalize on a stylized form and to emphasize the atmosphere of those times and legends through a vision and perception of its own, creating the space, story, movement and the atmosphere by feel what it was. It is more a creative act that dared to go beyond an idea and a sense relative to what was and what is culture surrounding us, we don’t present traditional dances, but how we perceive the world from the past and the today world.
Framework for development of ideas expands on many cultures emphasizing the essence and experimenting with their ideas through dance. We use same type of music, to underline our intentions.
By combining the styles emphasize just syncretism of ideas and cultural current that we disentangle them and put them into a harmonious whole. The experiment consists of experimentation creativity regarding the perception of other cultures in our hearts.
